Small Biz Theme for Wordpress affiliation

Well it's been a very hectic month with vacation, shipping two off to college, shipping another out to her first apartment, labor day, a hurricane, an earthquake... wow! Now we are planning on upgrading our kitchen...just a suck'ah for punishment I guess. Life as we know it. Golly! Back to reality: Just gave a presentation this morning discussing the foundation of a solid marketing effort today, needs a good CMS, or content management system. This is essential today and I'm happy to announce I've added an affiliated link to the site. Click on the link if you are looking for a really good theme to build your small business website on. I'm using it for a few clients and I really like working with the guys who produce it. In fact, I've joined their expert program and will soon know all the ins & outs and learn how to make it sing! Once the foundation is laid we can start driving traffic to the site and be ready to convert those visitors to leads. We do that in many ways and fodder for a future post.

Finding the gold in the data is where web analytics can make all the difference in the success of targeting your site content and marketing efforts.  Without getting into the nuances of the data right now, good web analytics gives you the ability to interpret

Lead Nurturing

Lead Nurturing

Lead nurturing is a concept that is as old as the art of selling a product.  When a potential prospect expresses an interest in your product, you’ve got a lead.  Once you have a lead, then the challenge is converting the lead into a sale.  Depending on the customer, or the nature of the product / service that you’re offering, the conversion process can require a lot of care and feeding.  Ergo the term, “lead nurturing”.

Why don’t my leads convert?

We previously discussed creating remarkable content, and why it’s so important to have a compelling narrative that will engage the reader enough to stick around and comment.  The “sticky factor” of a blog post or website article is all about giving the reader a reason to return.
